Ofsted
Dear Parents / Carers,
Following the OFSTED inspection in September 2017, the final report for The North School has been released.
It is very pleasing to read such positive things about our school and I am very happy with the conclusions the inspectors came to after spending two days with us. It is testament to the skills of the inspectors that they were able, in a relatively short time, to recognise the many things that we are so proud of here at The North School.
All the staff, and most of all the students, of The North School should be congratulated for the overall outcome. The school has been judged as Good under the current OFSTED framework. We should all be proud of our school which continues to improve over time.
As noted by the inspectors, leaders of The North School have established an ethos of high ambition throughout the school. They have developed the quality of teaching and secured good overall progress for current pupils. All staff are committed to the vision of improving the achievement and well-being of every student. They work very hard to plan and provide for the different groups of pupils so that they make good progress.
Thank you to parents who took the time to complete the Parent View questionnaire; we had a good number of responses and the results are very positive.
We feel great satisfaction as we start our extended half-term break today. The journey of improvement at The North School has been recognised and confirmed. However, we remain firmly committed to drive improvements so that our school continues to offer the very best for our students.
I would like to thank all parents and carers who support our work so well. This partnership is essential to ensure that our children are as successful as they are.
