Year 11 Information Evening
It was great to see so many parents turn out for the Information Evening in the Kent Hall last night. There were presentations from the Head teacher, the Deputy, the Principal for Communities and Miss Kray – the Year 11 Learning Leader. There was a strong focus on the importance of progress from starting points, attendance, the completion of work in lessons, homework, an early start to revision, study skills and how parents can support their son/daughter through this very important year. There was also an opportunity to visit the Ashford block where the Subject Leaders of English, Maths, Science, History and Geography and some teachers were available to help with information, advice and guidance on courses and revision. The Learning Leader – Miss Kray talked about the Lesson 7 for Term 1 and it is important that students attend as many Period 7 sessions as possible and is compulsory for all sessions that he/she is invited to.
If you were unable to attend the evening we have posted home the information and you can find the PowerPoint slides here.
