Students Joining Year 7 in September 2025
For admissions into next year’s Year 7, parents and carers are required to complete an application form known as the “Common Application Form” (CAF) through Kent County Council. This can be found by clicking here for the Kent County Council 'Applying for a School' web page.
Year 7 applications for September 2025 entry are normally for children born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014.
Applications for transfer to secondary school for September 2025 closed on Thursday 31 October 2024.
The North School has a published admission number (PAN) of 215 students, to be admitted into Year 7 each year. Applications for places will be made in accordance with Kent local authority’s coordinated admission arrangements and will be made on the Secondary Common Application Form (SCAF), provided and administered by the Kent Local Authority

Offers of school places sent to parents via email after 4pm and letters sent first class. |

Parents should contact the school to accept/refuse the place that has been offered. Parents should also fill out the waiting list form from the link in the offer email to be added to the waiting list of the schools named on the original application. |

Appeals to be lodged by this date to be heard before September. Appeals information can be found at www.kent.gov.uk/ |
Thursday 24 April 2025 |
Offer day for the second round of applications (known as reallocation). After this date waiting lists will be maintained by the schools and they will send out offers for places that may become available. Parents that have received an offer of a school place from KCC can approach schools directly for alternative places. |

Appeals
If you wish to appeal against a decision to refuse a place for your child at this school you can apply online or in writing. Please ensure that you read the guidance notes published online before submitting your appeal. Please note that as The North School is part of Swale Academies Trust, appeals forms must be submitted to the school. The North School uses an externally appointed Independent Appeals Panel.
For Appeals during the 2025-2026 admissions round (to start in September 2025), these need to be lodged by Monday 31 March 2025 for it to be considered by April - June 2025. Please send to the school tns-admissions@swale.at

Please note that the school is currently full in Key Stage 3 - year groups 7 to 9 inclusive. For prospective families looking for a school place in any of these years, please contact the In Year Admissions Team at Kent County Council by telephone on 03000 412121 who will be able to assist you.
